Shared Spaces (2017)

Coming to the Link Gallery on 11th May,  Shared Spaces brings together artists of different faiths, celebrating themes of religious diversity, spirituality, cultural legacies Image.pngand diaspora, through a range of media.

‘Little has been done to investigate what roles visual art might play in interreligious dialogue… Whereas Scripture comes freighted with a host of traditional interpretations and preconceptions, art can sometimes provide a more neutral terrain’
DR. AARON ROSEN
Lecturer in Sacred Traditions and the Arts at King’s College London.

The exhibition will feature a very special collaboration between artist Tom Berry and poet Shagufta K who worked together in creating the art piece titled ‘Diaspora’ for the charity Salaam Shalom.

We invite you to celebrate this exhibition on the 31st of May, where we will have a reception followed by the Muslim Women Artist collective, Variant Space, who will be leading a dialogue on ‘Women, Faith and Art’.

(Please email Rebecca Bellamy to express interest in attending the reception and dialogue: rebecca.bellamy@winchester.ac.uk)

This exhibition ends on the 15th June.
